From New Moon to Superbad: P.E.I.’s MacIsaac goes Hollywood

Martha MacIsaac, who starred in TV’s Emily of New Moon, will appear in her first Hollywood feature film due out this summer.

Apart from her role in Emily of New Moon, which ran on CBC-TV from 1998 to 2000, MacIsaac is well-known on P.E.I. for featuring in the tourism campaign “Come play on our Island.”

The Tampa Bay Lightning hockey team and its NHL star Brad Richards may be coming to Charlottetown next year for a week-long training camp.

A group of four Islanders leading the bid said Tuesday that many of the details have yet to finalized, but the team is interested and negotiations are underway.

Islander finds business niche in Toronto with Atlantic seafood

A Charlottetown native has launched a new business in Toronto that offers to give people west of the Atlantic provinces a taste of the East Coast.

Bill Hennessey, 22, is the driving force behind a company offering to deliver fresh seafood products from the Maritimes to home owners in most major cities across Canada.
